All controllers and all option cards are designed to

fit within a standard Euro 19 inch rack system. An

expansion port is available for connecting accessories.

A 50 way ribbon cable connects up to four expansion

cards to any controller. The maximum recommended

length of ribbon cable is 1ft/0.3m.

Standard Backplanes

Non isolated backplanes are available for EuroServo,

EuroStep, and EuroSystem. Each backplane fits into a

standard 3U high 19 inch rack and provides a 96 pin

DIN41612 connector that mates with the controller.

The backplane provides screw terminations for I/O

signals and power.

Opto-Isolated Backplanes

Opto isolated backplanes are available for EuroServo,

EuroStep, and EuroSystem. I/O signals are isolated

from the processor circuits. Each backplane fits into a

standard 3U high 19 inch rack and provides a 96 pin

DIN41612 connector that mates with the controller.

The backplane provides screw terminations for all I/O

signals and power.

Memory Card & Interface Card

The credit card sized memory card can be used to

expand the onboard memory to store larger

programs, data and arrays.

The memory card can also be used to load program

and data into a controller when it is powered up. This

allows programs and data to be copied easily from

one controller to another without the need for an

external PC.

The Memory Card Interface and special firmware

are required to connect to the memory card.

Consult factory for details of special firmware, type

MX and MA.

All I/O signals are brought out onto a 96 pin

DIN41612 connector. An optional backplane with

screw terminations is available. I/O is accessed

through MINT using the XIO keyword.

Backplane for I/O Expansion Card

An optional backplane can be used with the I/O

expansion card. The backplane fits into a standard 3U

high 19 inch rack and provides a 96 pin DIN41612

connector that mates with the 24 expansion card. The

backplane provides screw terminations for I/O signals

and power.
