Typical Connections

W INPUT CHARACTERISTICS

Opto-isolated and may be connected to positive or

negative common (for use with NPN and PNP output

transistors).

E FAST POSITION CAPTURE

One of the 4 FASTPOS inputs will latch selected axis

position data within 25µS. The remaining 3 FASTPOS

inputs latch data within 1ms.

R HOME

One per axis, taken from the 16 digital inputs.

Provides reference position for the axis.

Three modes of homing: on encoder index, on switch,

on both.

Y DRIVE ERROR INPUT

Usually one per controller, taken from the 16 digital

inputs. Brings all axes to a crash stop when active.

Input sense software configurable.

U ANALOG INPUTS

8 x 12 bit resolution single

ended inputs or

4 x 12 bit resolution,

differential inputs.

±10V, ±5V, 0-10V or 0-5V

voltage ranges can

be set by the user.

T LIMIT

One or two per axis, taken from the 16 digital inputs.

Provides end of travel protection. Crash stop assigned

axes when active.

Q DIGITAL INPUTS

16 digital inputs, user configured for limit, home, stop,

error or general purpose.

May be configured as level or edge triggered, and

to interrupt a user program and call a subroutine.
